It Could Happen by Melissa Baldwin @mpbaldwinauthor @rararesources

About the Book:

I don’t like change. That’s fine, because I, Tori Hayes, am quite content with my single status and fulfilling sales career. I’ll make an exception and step out of my comfort zone to be a part of my college bestie’s wedding party. Anything for a friend, you know?
But this—this is not what I thought it would be. Suddenly, I’m thrown into drama that only a Southern belle bride and her friends can stir up. The secrets, the lies, the deception—it’s more than I can take. Not to mention that groomsman Tyler, who seems to know exactly how to push my buttons.
I don’t like my buttons pushed. Or maybe I do.
Dashing groomsmen aside, why do I keep finding myself in the middle of all this madness? I want to support Caroline and give her the perfect day, but things are getting messy and fast. Is there going to be a happy ending amid all this chaos?
It could happen …

My Review:

It Could Happen is the second book I have reviewed by Melissa Baldwin after On the Road to Love, and both books were fun and enjoyable.

It Could Happen is such a fun novel! I love the hot pink cover and I adored the bridesmaid wedding favor pack, it was so thoughtful and imaginative.

I loved the way this was written in first person and present tense propelled the plot forward, and I loved all the wedding planning and attention to detail in every setting and outfit

Melissa Baldwin’s writing style reminds me of Candace Bushnell’s, and I like her books. In fact, I half expected Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Charlotte and Miranda to turn up at the wedding.

Tori is a great character, so honest and observant. She really is an open book, and I loved how she was open about what she saw, thought and felt. I liked Caroline and thought she was a good friend. It was fun meeting all the other bridesmaids and each was a well-fleshed-out character. There are people who got on and others who didn’t.

Parker was fun and I felt she was another good friend.

I wasn’t sure about what I thought of Tyler at first, and I wanted more chemistry between him and Tori.

I didn’t have many guests at my wedding, but this novel took me back to my special day. Melissa Baldwin captures the excitement and trials and tribulations of wedding planning and I was so much wanting to know what was going to happen.

The romance is slow burn. It Could Happen is a quickly-paced and realistic novel and it’s perfect for those who are married, as well as those who have never been married but who love a good romcom.

I actually didn’t find thislaugh-out-loud funny, but it was very realistic. Some things, good and bad, that could happen at a wedding, do happen.

Thanks to Melissa Balwin and Rachel’s Random Resources for my eARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.
